Anti-Ragging Policy

Rewa Polytechnic Pharmacy, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh (hereinafter referred to as “the Institution”), strictly prohibits ragging in any form within the campus and its associated facilities. The Institution complies with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the regulations issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory authorities.

Definition of Ragging

Ragging constitutes one or more of the following acts:

  • Any conduct by any student or group of students that causes physical or psychological harm to another student.
  • Any act of teasing, bullying, or intimidation.
  • Any act that violates the dignity of a student or creates a hostile academic environment.
  • Any form of verbal abuse, harassment, or coercion.

Anti-Ragging Committee

The Institution has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee in accordance with the applicable regulations prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory authorities. The Committee is responsible for ensuring compliance with anti-ragging measures and addressing complaints, if any, in a time-bound manner.

Preventive Measures

  • Display of anti-ragging notices at prominent locations within the campus.
  • Undertaking by students and parents at the time of admission.
  • Monitoring of student activities within the campus and hostels.
  • Awareness programmes regarding anti-ragging regulations.

Punitive Action

Any student found guilty of ragging shall be liable for disciplinary action in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, which may include suspension, expulsion, or other penalties as deemed appropriate by the competent authority.
